Mr. Trump has mastered Twitter in a way no other presidential candidate has, unleashing and redefining its power as a tool for political propulsion, distraction, match-fixing and attack — and made a 140-character quest that other candidates assigned to young agents the focus of his campaign.

Real estate mogul and reality TV star even went so far as to brand his campaign tagline, “ Make America Great Again ,” a version of the one first used by Ronald Reagan in 1980. Like Trump, Reagan also established himself as an on-screen figure before entering the bid for the presidency.

Aside from Trump, Americans believe Bernie Sanders (21 percent) and Hillary Clinton (20 percent) have the strongest campaigns. Sanders campaign website has a similar feel to Trump's, with tabs to learn more about his campaign and short posts about his most recent updates.

However, Sanders deserves credit for his in-depth articles full of charts and graphs outlining and justifying his political positions. He has a long form 16 problems while Trump just explained his positions to three themes – immigration, tax reform and the Second Amendment.

Meanwhile, on Clinton's website , you are required to sign up for her email before you access any Content. Plus one for priority emails, but minus one for hard sales.

In addition to political analysis, Emarsys also uses the survey to gather some information about the advertising landscape as a whole, which could have a lot to do with wobbly voters. A whopping 81 percent of Americans said they would also take steps to prevent unwanted email from retailers and e-commerce companies, with 65 percent saying they would unsubscribe. For brands, the key here is to listen to your consumers (or constituents). Instead of telling them what they want, it's probably more effective to understand them better than any of your competitors. Clearly, that strategy has worked for Trump. Regardless of what you think about his politics, his hair, and his general lack of respect for most people, it's clear that he knows one thing: the power of content.
