Over 26 years old, past the specified age, can I get the injection?

The HPV vaccine is not contraindicated in sexually active people. So people who are sexually active, have had children, or have had HPV can still get the HPV vaccine.

If I have been infected with HPV, can I still get the vaccine?

Cervical cancer caused by HPV virus is still effective when injected to people who have ever had sex, even have been infected with HPV virus. The HPV virus is very easy to re-infect – that is, after the body clears the virus, it is still possible to infect them again. The body's natural immunity is not enough to prevent reinfection, but vaccines can. Besides, there are many different types of HPV. If you have been infected with one type of HPV before, you should still get vaccinated to prevent infection with another type of HPV.

Do I need to test or screen for cervical cancer before injection?

How long does it take to get pregnant after getting an HPV shot?

The HPV vaccine is a multivalent recombinant vaccine, not a live vaccine, so there is no recommended period for delaying pregnancy after vaccination. However, to prepare for the best health before pregnancy, women should delay 1 month so that after completing the HPV vaccine regimen, the body has antibodies to protect both mother and baby.
