Usually if you study continuously for 10 hours, you will know how to play. However, you also have to depend on the wind, if the wind is good, you can learn 10 hours very quickly. It takes about 4-5 days to complete. And if the ship's wind rushes, you have to wait patiently.

Wind conditions to play in Vietnam

This subject is currently popular in Mui Ne and Phan Rang areas. These 2 areas have a lot of players, most of which are foreigners. Wind and sea conditions here are extremely favorable for kitesurfing and there are two main wind seasons here, which are southerly and irregular.

The wind is unusually stronger and more regular and usually starts from November to April every year, so this is the peak season for this sport. If you learn in this season, you will know how to play very quickly.

And the south wind is less and often irregular with occasional rain, sudden thunderstorms. This season is the low season for this sport from June to October every year.

In short, to play this sport, there must be wind. The best wind is to buy wind, so learning and playing in that season is the best. However, it is still possible to play and learn in the summer and wait patiently for the wind. Sometimes wait a whole week :D.

Where to learn and play kitesurfing?

Ok. This part is quite important. As I said above, Mui Ne and Phan Rang are the 2 best places to learn and play kites in Vietnam up to now. And in these two places, there are also many schools to teach you to learn and play this subject. Usually there are a lot of foreign students.

Often schools have many different courses. There are beginner and advanced courses available. These courses are hourly and often a bit pricey.

When you register, there will be a tutor to teach you and one on one, but if you study in a group, that's ok. However, I advise not to study in groups. One-on-one private lessons are the best.
