1. What is Filezilla?

2. Instructions for downloading and installing Filezilla
To download and install the filezilla client, follow these steps:
Step 1: To download this software, click on the link: https://filezilla-project.org/download.php and select Download FileZilla Client
Step 2: After completing the download to your computer, proceed to install according to the instructions that appear on the computer screen.
Step 3: Start boot to use:
Here you fill in personal information such as:
- Host: enter IP or domain ftp
- Username: enter account name
- Password: enter password
- Port: FTP service port, normally will be 21.
In the step of filling in the above information, you need to choose to log in to the main account or the regular account as follows:
TH1: Login to main account
The main account is the account anourous @domain.com to log in to DirectAdmin or Cpanel as shown below:
The next step is to fill in the information as shown below:
TH2: Log in to your regular account
In contrast to the main account, the regular account with the extension @domain.com and has access to its own folders specified by the main user. Here are the steps to create a regular FTP:
1.For DIGISTAR Control Panel
Step 1: On the toolbar click on the item Files & Folder then choose FTP accounts
Step 2: Fill in personal information such as username, password, FTP is the FTP account as shown:
2.For Cpanel
Step 1: Choose FTP Account on the main interface of Cpanel 11
Step 2: Enter information for the user including:
- Login: Enter the username to create
- Password: Enter password
- Password (Again): Enter the password again
- Directory: Directory User has access rights
- Quota (MB): The amount of space the user is allowed to use on FTP.
Step 3: Choose Create to finish the creation step
3.For DirectAdmin
Step 1: Find item Your Account on the interface then press FTP Management. Next press "Create FTP account”
Step 2: In this step, you fill in personal information such as FTP Username, Password. Finally choose Create to complete the creation step.
After completing the FTP creation step above, log in to the account you just created as shown below:
3. User Manual Filezilla
Step 1: Collect information
In the "FTP access” inside the file section as shown below you can have FTP access information.
When you open this file you have full information such as: FTP Host, FTP IP, FTP Port, FTP username, FTP password. If you don't remember your password, click on the box "Change account password" as shown below:
This step also allows the user to change the FTP access permission for the programmer or also create an FTP account on the FTP Accounts folder.
Step 2: Access Site Manager in Filezilla Client
This step is intended to add a site to the FileZilla client. You go to Site Manager in FileZilla. Here, you press the key combination Ctrl + S (in case your machine is MAC, press the key combination CMD + S) to access the site Manager. Or you can find the icon on the left side in FileZilla.
Step 3: Add a site to Site Manager
The purpose of this step is to configure information and create Site Manager. Do this step in the hope that you do not need to complete information to log in every time you log in to the FTP server and the FileZilla client remembers your site. First, in Site Manager, select “New Site” and complete all the information as shown:
Step 4: Connect to FTP server
After you have filled in the necessary information, please make sure that the information you fill in is correct, to connect to the server you click on Connect and OK.
In case your connection is refused or failed then you should contact your hosting provider. And if a successful connection message is displayed, then in FTP server A directory list will appear.
Click on the box that says "Always trust certificate in future sessions” and choose OK to complete.
Step 5: Use FwithZilla to upload files to the server
After the link is successful, locate and drag the data on the left side of the software to the right. On the server the files are inside the public_html as shown below:
