If you use a laptop using wifi, click on the Menu icon in the lower left corner of the screen, then navigate to Settings and connect to wifi to download checkra1n .

Step 4 : Download checkra1n (you choose one of two ways: CLI or GUI ).

Open up Terminal and run the following commands:

echo "deb https://assets.checkra.in/debian /" | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list
sudo apt-key adv --fetch-keys https://assets.checkra.in/debian/archive.key
sudo apt update
sudo apt install checkra1n

After the GUI is installed , click on the menu to see that checkra1n is installed, now you just need to click on the checkra1n icon to use ( Step 5 for CLI )

Step 5 : Run checkra1n .

Click the menu icon in the lower left corner of the screen, type in the search box from Terminal, and launch Terminal .

Run the following commands on the Terminal one by one :

cd ~/Desktop
chmod 777 checkra1n
sudo ./checkra1n

Now follow the steps checkra1n requires to jailbreak your device.

Note : always running Ubuntu on USB can cause jailbreak to fail, you should install dual boot to use.

Good luck.
