You change the setting from a simple menu to the side that pops up when you move the mouse there. The default is light gray with leafless trees in the corner. OmmWriter also comes with a selection of sound effects designed to boost focus. Some people think this is distraction, while others like it.
You will also choose from a range of fonts, each selected for a sense of relaxation and tranquility. The upgrades include the paid version and the 'give-what you want' version, each offering a wide selection of audio and visual themes.
You cannot print using Ommwriter, but you can save files in omm., Txt. and pdf. format to read or copy to another editor for printing. Omm is the same format as txt. The lack of printing is probably the weakness in this system. On the other hand, it sounds great, and is a real text editor without the few improvements of those discussed above.
