Tools for creating eye-catching layouts and landing pages easily - Are you struggling to create search pages on your website? Or so frustrated that you are considering hiring a web designer?
The new WordPress plugin from Thrive Themes is the answer to the problems.
In this review, we will talk about how easy it is to create visually impressive pages (and posts) visually, with little time and money.
What is Thrive Architect?
Creating pages with the WordPress editor is like going to a dentist. You will not know how it will turn out.
Although WordPress is a great blogging tool, it never intended to create professional websites. That's what WordPress developers are looking to solve with their Gutenberg project.
Meanwhile, you need a WYSIWYG to help you create better pages.
Thrive Architect is a visual page creation plugin for WordPress to create beautiful, conversion-focused pages.
This is the fastest visualization program for WordPress.
The idea is to help create your pages fastest with a drag and drop editor so you don't have to spend hours fiddling with shortcodes, CSS and HTML.
Using Thrive Architect, you can:
- Create a Home Page with one of the pre-designed Templates or elements such as Icons, Buttons or Columns into the current topic.
- Landing pages with integrated lead generation elements to help grow the list.
- Format website posts with features like Content Box and Lists to stand out from the crowd.
- Create a sales page, webinar page, product introduction page, and more.
Build your page with Thrive Architect
There are two ways to create a page with Thrive Architect. Use pre-designed templates or start from the beginning with a blank template.
Both ways are valid. You just need to decide which one you want.
When you create a new Page, select the Edit button with Thrive Architect:
Selecting this option will open a new tab / window:
At the top of the Page is the default title menu and the page title you want to see from your topic.
On the left side of the page is the Thrive Architect menu. From here you will drag and drop elements onto your page.
So let's see how it works.
Use landing page templates
Thrive Architect has hundreds of pre-designed landing page templates. The beauty of these sites is that you almost publish them immediately. You will have to dive in and tailor it to fit your business, but at least you have the foundation to get started quickly.
Landing page template sets
Flourish their landing pages in the Sample Set. At the time of writing, there are 26 Landing Page Templates in their library, and some more are coming soon.
Each set of pages uses the same design elements to create a consistent look.
The Atomic sample set includes:
Page generation leads
Page generation leads 2 steps
Confirmation page
Download page
Video sales page
Registration page for webinar
Webinar webinar
Replay webinar page
Customize a template
Once you have selected the Landing Page Template, start customizing it with the intuitive WYSIWYG editor.
Each page has elements; for example: Title, Text, Button, Icon, etc. As soon as you select an element on the page, its editing options will appear in the sidebar menu.
For example, if you select the Heading element, change the text, change its layout and position, apply a background style, add borders and more:
Note: Thrive Architect labels elements in several locations on your screen, so make sure you're editing the right content.
In just a few clicks, you can customize the page to fit your style and brand. Additionally, you save your sample version for reuse.
The important thing to remember is that it will display immediately on the editing screen. Switch to the preview mode if you like, but you don't really need to because you'll see everything right in front of you.
Thrive Architect is a genuine WYSIWYG visual editor.
Start with a blank page
Sometimes it is better to create your page from scratch, starting with a blank page. For example, you like the design of a page you saw on another website and create something similar.
Let's take a look at three of the powerful and flexible design elements you use to create your site.
We will show you other great elements later
- Wide background - full
Adding full-width backgrounds is not a big deal, but you won't find this feature on page builders.
The key setting here is Stretch to fit the width of the screen as it gives you a full width background no matter which WordPress theme you're using.
There are a few other settings that I choose to create this background. First, I added an image as a base layer and then I applied a color layer at the top. It helps you when you want to start adding text as the title below.
You add custom layers to create the effect you want. Other layer options like gradient colors, patterns and video backgrounds.
Before I finish, I'd like to add, there's one more feature to show you. The background sections are full width and two columns, you will create a vertical split screen effect:
When you have a vertical layout, you add different content elements. Examples: There are images and text, video cameras and video screenshots, along with many other combinations.
- Content box
The content box is a dual-purpose design element in Thrive Architect. It serves as a content container to contain the elements you want to handle in the same way, plus you use it to highlight important parts of the content.
Nothing special, right?
But, by selecting the drag and drop handle, you move the Content Box onto the background.
To improve things, I chose the white border on the Content Box and rounded the upper right corner. You can add solid borders or broken lines. I have also applied a color background (with high opacity) to the Content Box.
And on the Text element, inside the Content Box, I have added a few edits. I chose the standard white background color and changed the font text to green.
When you have a content box that you think will be useful again in the future, Thrive Architect helps you save it as a Content Template.

- Authentication
Adding testimonials to your site is a social proof. Thrive Architect has several authentication templates that you should choose:
While the two models may appear limited, the customization options are endless.
Let's find out!
Authentication form 2 has two columns for Image and Text. You can drag and drop column widths to fit your images and text as you wish.
The right column contains three Text / Paragraph elements, each with a different font size.
The column on the right is the Quote Symbol. It is to the left of the text by selecting the Absolute Advanced setting
More options for creating leads
Landing pages have one purpose: to create leads.
Thrive Architect has two types of lead generation that you choose on your landing page.
1-step opt-in
Creating customers is 1-step opt-in
If you are creating your own landing page, drag and drop the Create customer element from the sidebar to your page.
Choose to overlay the fields vertically or let them run horizontally. Also, customize other features like colors and text.
If you select Landing page template, the Create Customer element will be available:
2-step opt-in with Thrive Lightbox
Create the second generation available in Thrive Architect as 2-step Opt-in, select integrated Thrive Lightbox feature.
Landing page template works the same. For example, a 2-step storyteller Opt-in uses Animation & Action functions to create a trigger:
When you click the button, it opens the built-in Thrive Lightbox:
Like the pages in Thrive Architect, you customize Lightbox's design with an intuitive editor.
Integrated email service
Whether you choose 1 or 2 steps to capture your email address, you will need to connect the Create a Customer form to your email service form.
Thrive Architect helps you connect to your email service via API or HTML Form
It has API connections for all of these email service providers
Check that your page is responsive on mobile
Every page created with Thrive Architect, whether you start from scratch or a template, responds flexibly. But the plugin has three more mobile responsive features to help you create unique pages.
- Preview your page on different screen sizes
When you create your page, you only need a few mouse clicks to check what it looks like on different screen sizes.
- Toggle the visibility of components and entire content blocks
For any element, or Content Box that has many elements in it, you decide whether it will be displayed or hidden. You will see the Icon element will show on Desktop and Tablet, but hidden on Mobile.
- Fine tune every detail
You can adjust the layout and position of components for different screen sizes without having to create duplicate components with the show / hide option. For example, on the authentication box, we resized the text and placed it below the image after deleting the icon element.
A lot of people browse the web using mobile devices, your site has to be more flexible. With Thrive Architect, you have the best experience, at any screen size.
The building blocks of Thrive Architect
You have seen many main page creation elements in Thrive Architect. But let's look at a few more things in depth.
The conversion factor
In addition to call-to-action buttons, testimonials, content boxes and customer creation forms, Thrive Architect also has four blocks focused on conversion:
- List style - Bulleted lists with icons and styles to accurately represent sales points.
- Countdown timer - Increase the urgency for your pages with animated countdown timer and evergreen countdown
- Content Reveal - Hide content blocks until a certain amount of time has elapsed. Suitable for sales videos where you reveal a purchase button when you reach the advertising part of the video.
- Credit card icon - Credit card icon to completely extend customers a clear signal to purchase and create trust.
Add ingredients
In addition to conversion elements, Thrive Architect has other components that you use to create any page. This is one of my favorites:
- Click on Tweet - Encourage social sharing in your content.
- Google Map - Embed Google Map on your page.
- Message grid - Display of posts or WooCommerce products.
- Social sharing - Add social sharing buttons and choose to hide the number of shares until a certain number is exceeded.

- Table of Contents - creates it automatically for pages with jump links to each section.
- Video - Embed YouTube, Wistia, Vimeo or self-hosted videos on your site.
