How to install the WordPress Plugin - When you are new to WordPress, one of the first questions you will have to answer is how to install the WordPress plugin? Today, we give you a helpful answer for newbies.
Okay, since the website is full of apps that have this plugin, download that plugin! This is my advice when talking about WordPress.
Plugins are really important to make WordPress attractive and you definitely shouldn't avoid new plugins!
However, before you can reap the benefits that some interesting plugins bring, you need to install that. Here is the easiest way to install a WordPress plugin:
How to install the free WordPress plugin
Note:
The way to install the WordPress plugin, which works for free, will be a bit different from installing the premium plugin. In this tutorial, we cover both. Get started with free plugins:
Start by visiting your admin panel - http://your-domain.com/wp-admin/ and clicking on Pluginsins in the sidebar menu.
Then, click on the "Add New" button at the top:
What you'll see next is a page showing you a short list of Featured / Recommended plugins and a handy search field on the right - this is the page we'll be using.
Enter the name of the plugin you want to install in that search field. In my case, I will demonstrate how to install our Revive Old Post plugin.
Now, the great thing here is that you don't even need to enter the entire name of the plugin. For example, I will use "revise" and press the enter key on the keyboard.
The plugin I am looking for is the first one on the list. All I need to do now is click the "Install Now" button. When I do that, WordPress will find the plugin and install it on my website. It works like installing a new app from the App Store.
But there is one more step.
This is when I need to activate the plugin by clicking on the "Activate Plugin" link that just appeared.
At this stage, it was done. The plugin has been activated and WordPress will let you know this fact through a small note at the top of the page:
How to install WordPress Premium / Paid plugin
The process of installing a premium or premium WordPress plugin is a little different. Absolutely because premium plugins are not available in the official plugin directory - additional plugins that you can access via the search option in your wp-admin dashboard.
So the first thing to do is you by all means get the main plugin. This step you need to handle yourself. Most often, this involves going to a plugin market or store and buying a copy of the plugin from there.
You should save the installable plugin file as a ZIP archive.
Once you have your ZIP file, go back to your wp-admin's WordPress dashboard, click Wap's Plugins button in the sidebar menu, and then go to the "Add New" button.
Once there, click on the "Upload Plugin" button that you can see at the top:
On the next screen, you will be able to directly upload the plugin's ZIP file to your WordPress:
Just select ZIP from your desktop and confirm the upload by clicking "Install Now".
When WordPress finishes its magic work, you will just need to activate the plugin.
Plugin installation is complete
After doing so, the plugin is online and you can start using it.
